Iriyoshi Toyama (富山入善, Toyama Iriyoshi) is a character in the series Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club.

He is a male of average height, with short dark hair, glasses, and slightly thick eyebrows.

Classic KitakouEdit

His uniform in the classic strips consists of the white shirt and a pair of navy blue slacks. He is sometimes seen with a lab coat over the uniform.

Kitakou PureEdit

In Pure, he wears the white uniform shirt with a pair of burgundy slacks.

Though Iriyoshi (usually referred to by his surname "Toyama") appears to be an average high school boy and honor student, his family is actually involved with the Yakuza. Even while keeping these connections a secret, he will not hesitate to carry a gun with him to defend the one he cares about.

His favorite foods are watermelon and sushi. He is a first year in the Chemical Engineering department at Kitakou.

Noto KanazawaEdit

The two have been friends since their childhood, and Toyama sees it as his job to watch out for Noto and defend him when he gets into a crisis. He also has deeper feelings towards Noto, which he feels awkward over.

He is the one who is able to momentarily snap Noto out of his rampages (after he becomes "Black Noto").

Hinaji KasukabeEdit

Toyama distrusts Hinaji, especially due to the way he acts around Noto. In the classic chapters, he is able to stop Hinaji from further humiliating Noto by the threat of his gun.

Wakasa FukuiEdit

These two were also childhood friends, though Wakasa now sees herself as his girlfriend and thinks of Noto as a threat standing in the way of her feelings being returned.

Tsukomi Hoke (Tsuko)Edit

As Tsuko lives with the Yakuza, he and Toyama have crossed paths at least once in the Pure series.

  • As expected, his surname directly references the Toyama Prefecture in Japan (along with its capital city).
