I started a Kitayume Answers questions wiki. I made this in hopes if anyone would like to know about Himaruya's other series.
It's been up for quite a while, but no one but I and MizuTakishima have visited, and I hope some others will too!
Here's the link: http://kitayumeqa.answers.wikia.com/wiki/Kitayume_Answers
I hope you guys will visit the site sometime!

你好! 近排點呀? (Néih hóu! Gahnpàaih dím a?)
(Hello! How are you doing recently?)
Wiki got a new look and Monaco will be no more on November 3rd. So I'm thinking about a November Revamp of this place. Any opinions?
Anyways we've got a new member and she's also started a Kitayume Group on DA! Here's the link to that group:
Thanks for all your work guys!
I'd love to here opinions!Read more >
Sorry if this sort of thing isn't allowed; I'm kinda a newbie when it comes to Wikia stuff and I figured this would at least be somewhat relevant/interesting to anyone who surfs/uses/works on this wiki.
Basically, I've known about Himaruya's other comics for a while, (namely Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club, Barjona Bombers, and Chibi-san Date) but this wikia has shown and taught me much more about his works (even about series I never knew!) and it's inspired me to spread the love of Himaruya's lesser-known webcomics, (most people only know about Hetalia)
So, I decided to start a group on deviantART that embodies all those web-comics, which will hopefully help them become more well-known. (which could be useful for scanlations and recoveri…

Over at the chibi-san date Livejournal community, zeittari posted that Chibi-san date was once again missing from this month's issue of Comic Birz. The strip has apparently been on hiatus for a few months now, and mochironnai posted that "it is said that if you don't have good ratings then you get cut by the tenth month."
Chibi-san Date went on hiatus after chapter 10.
Now I don't think Tokyopop would have licensed the manga for an English release were this the case... but you never know. Maybe Himaruya is swamped with another project (Hetalia Volume 4 maybe?).

Yep. Tried to get on there today, and it's gone. It was up yesterday and working fine, but now the domain has lapsed and it redirects to some domain search page (that might give a virus, I'm always scared of those pages). DougaBBS was actually the backup board for the long-dead GazouBBS imageboard too, and it looks like no one thought to make a backup for this backup!
So now I wonder, where will people get their old-school lost Kitayume pictures from? There were pictures there that have been missing from the current site entirely, I should've saved some more there. Before the board died, I tried posting some pages to the incomplete/missing Barjona strips in hopes that someone else had the other pages, but there didn't seem to be much luck. …Read more >
Okay, so I finally worked (most?) of the bugs out of the layouts and I moved them out of the Sandbox. What does everyone think? Hate it? Something you would have done differently? Tell me! :)
As of right now the only things left to be done with them is the Other Works page (came up with a new design as I was changing the layout over. Oh Brain.) and the page width for the four Portal Pages (Barjona Bombers, Advance! Kitakou Broadcasting Club, Chibi-san Date and Other Comics and Works) needs to be changed to match the page width for the Kitayume Wiki Main Page (the later of which is something an admin needs to do.)Read more >
Hey guys! I just wanted to post the current projects I'm working on for translations and if anyone would like to request any translations.
Susume! Kitakou Broadcasting Club: Chapter 12
Barjona Bombers: Chapter 1
Chibi-san Deito!: ??? (here's the link: http://himaruya.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-494.html)
Any other requests? I'd be happy to take them, once I'm done with these projects. It's going to take me a while, so could you please be paitent while I'm still translating these strips? Thanks, and I'll try my best to fulfull your translation request.Read more >
If you have an account for NicoVideo, this may help in finding more information about the old Barjona and Noto-sama games.
Tags to look for for http://www.nicovideo.jp/tag/ :
きたこー放送部 (Kitakou Broadcasting Club)
のと様 (Another reading of "Noto-sama")
バルヨナボンバーズ (Barjona Bombers, has vids exclusively for the old Barjona game)
キタユメ (Kitayume, but it just seems to have about three Barjona videos)
ずろうの棲処 (The Deserted House)
The general Barjona tag gives more videos, about three pages. Kitakou gives about one page. You can see general cute MADs, and also MADs of people doing gameplay of the old games. Unfortunately since it's Japanese-only, you'd have to find someone to try to provide a translation for those ones unless you …Read more >
I think this is about it. The amount of Kitakou and Barjona stuff decreased by the year.
- Some comic with Nomaru and Tsuko
- Part 2
Gonna double-check to see if this might still be in the main Barjona listing. He linked these on his blog and I decided to check the Geocities site to see if they existed there first. If they're not part of the main comic page anymore, we have two more strips to add to the list of Misc./missing ones.
- A series of Barjona comic strips
- Barjona Uniform post
In case we need a Uniform Guide or anything?
- Oldschool Kitakou art
SO old it's scary D:
- The debut of the new Kitakou banner. Wonder what else this says...
- Summaries of Noto's game adventures or something
- Some Kitakou scribbles
- Komachi redesign for the never-fini…
I was wondering if perhaps the page width at the Kitayuma wikia should be the same as over at the Hetalia Archives? The page width here is so much wider and Its going to cause warping to some of the layouts if we try to bring them over.Read more >
Classes have started back. I won't be surprised if I get held up from working on this place or the LJ community (but that place is up now!). I noticed while compiling the Pure masterlist for there that there were some mistakes I made, they got fixed for that place and I'll try to fix them here as soon as I can (I mislabeled chapter 3 with one of the omake titles, I need to grab the actual title and the title to another chapter and see if I can figure out what they say. Or I could just ask what they are XD: ).
I also need to modify the profiles for some of the characters since finding out that Classic!Kitakou and Pure are two different parallel universe deals. No wonder we don't see Ichizen or Koedo in the original strips, they only exist in…Read more >

Thanks to a kind Japanese fan on DougaBBS, the final seventh page of gaki.htm was found (the eighth and ninth pages were basically a splash page and a footnote, it seems). I have in my possession some pages of another deleted Kitakou comic that Noto_sama saved from the original GazouBBS (RIP) Kitayume thread. The Japanese fandom is very resourceful.
I'm going to see if any more interest can be garnered for the translation project and this wiki, it would be nice to meet other fans of the old series. And since they lack the historical or country stuff that Hetalia has, I think they'd be much less controversial to discuss (maybe?).
I'll make a Photobucket for my finds as soon as possible, but for now this is the direct link to the missing strip…Read more >
Hey everyone (though it's really just one person besides myself....) I've been doing some stuff on the Hetalia Archives and tried to get this wiki a little more attention. And the Hetalia Archives is doing some revamping so let's try to do some too! Here's what I think we should do:
- Fix the character profiles: the character profiles, no offense are somewhat..., lame. There's no depth to it and barely any of the characters have any information about them and pictures. So I was thinking we need to update the character profiles and make a little more in depth!
- Get more people on here: I've got some people on the Hetalia Archives that are having some interested in the older series of Hideak Himayura (sorry if I got his surname wrong...) And I'm …
All right! Time to clean up this wiki! Though this is a kinda dead wiki I think we need to clean up this whole place! Here's what I think should be done!
- Get rid of duplicates. On the side bar their are too many copies of the same thing. Characters is the main issue you should have series than you should add characters to the list so it's nice and even! Here's what I mean: series> character> list of series characters.
plot> series info and plot.
- Give this a new look! When need a new look. We should have a welcome article, about article and we should have a recent blog widget! We should add more pictures and make this place a little more appealing!
NEW PROJECT: SCANLATIONS
Alright! Ceras SanMaria and I started a new scanlation project!
Here's the …

Some of the stories associated with KitaPure are gone, save for fan collections. Others are still in site files. And it seems I'm hitting a jackpot! Here we go:
Stories unable to be found: "notowaka", "iya", "wake", "sw0", "ns1", "hatoban1", "hatobatotest", "4k1", and uh...I'll get back to all that later.
- Original title: 『泣きっ面にさいたま』
- Summary: キタコウピュアの記念すべき１話です
- Title page from Side-b archived version
Omake#2 (Hatoba story, original title is 「キタコウ的中華一番！」 ):
- Original title: 『せンターグリルでオムライス』
- Summary: ついにあの人達でます(*´∀｀*)
Omake (original title is 『銭湯フラフラ』):

This place has fallen into the dead zone again, I'm afraid. It's hard to find others that are into these series or get back into contact with someone who was. I've probably burnt out all resources in searching for more information, and yet things are still so incomplete! It's still kind of hard to figure out the timeline for Barjona too.
I've been thinking of starting a livejournal community for Kitayume, but I'm doubting if it will take off. For now, I guess I've found some things. Too tired to see if I posted them before, will delete "duplicate" links later when I have time to see if I posted some of these already:
- Miyako and Rinko in winter girls' uniforms, Side-b Kitayume archive
- First page is broken, second page of some comic related to …
I'm checking a FC2web site that seems to no longer be active, for any more bits of info. This post will cover things that weren't in the first one, in the ongoing quest to search for more information and pictures on stuff that came before the Hetalia comic on Kitayume. In scouring FC2, I see a robots.txt thing but it doesn't seem to have worked, eheh.
In time, I suppose if I find anything else on other sites, it'll be covered here too.
- Perhaps this is where the Himaruya pseudonym comes from. It's an Indian character!
- UK from Gakuen Hetalia Pretty.
- For the old Kitakou game?
- A chibi bust of Noto in the first girls' sailor suit he wore
- Mini Himaruya! Is it that character or is it him? It's cute
- Noto in the girls' sportswear in a chibi banner

I'm not an expert at Japanese, though I've decided to try and take a bat at translating little things to try and get a better understanding of the Kitayume characters. This is generally a miscellaneous blog entry. If anyone else can offer in-depth info or suggestions/corrections, it would be much love!
Source is: this archived page
- The boys wear a necktie and their vests are brown.
- The trousers are wine-colored.
- The girls wear a red sailor-type dress.
- Girls can also wear a petticoat (even if it is short, it is acceptable).
- The boys and girls also wear short neckties with the school insignia on the inside.
As far as I know, I haven't seen art or strips dealing with the winter uniforms. I'd have to check back, but if there was any a…

It's been hard to find in-depth information on the old days of Kitakou and Barjona, but sometimes I'm able to get lucky and find Web Archived versions of Himaruya's other sites that contained information and images on the m.
The main Kitayume site (Geocities.jp/himaruya) is robots.txt'd and blocked from the Web Archive, but you can find old versions of some pages on the Japanese "Megalodon" archive (but only from 2007, with about two pages from 2006).
There are also two sites still in existence that have some KitaPure and Barjona game info saved over too: "Himaruya2" (which is also robots.txt'd, so you can't find any earlier versions on the Web Archive) and "Barjonajp". It's interesting to see just how many sites he has/had. He also had a Li…Read more >
I was scouring the Web Archive's logs of Wotaemon and found these lyrics. They seem to match up to an audio clip I heard on NicoNicoDouga of a song from the Kitakou Pure game (though it doesn't appear to be the opening, so I guess it's the ending theme). I'll post the page that I found this on later. This is the "A type" version of the song, there's also another choral "B type". The A type Mp3 used to be on one of the Kitayume sites, but now the link is dead D:.
Here's where you can hear the song itself, set to a Gakuen Hetalia slideshow: http://dic.nicovideo.jp/v/nm8287345
Since the original MP3 is no longer available, you might want to Nicosound this and save it for your own listening purposes.
Note: parentheses denote who sings which part.…

I'm trying to fix a few things up here, it's become so lonely and an abandoned project of mine. Nonetheless, I'm still hoping it can become something fun, and maybe the knowledge of Himaruya's works that aren't Hetalia can spread a little more!
I guess you could call me the admin here, but I'm still trying to figure out how Wiki code works. I haven't been able to get much help on it so far, but we shall see! I'd love for this place to have templates for character articles and anything else if it can get going.
Another annoying thing here to ponder about is when exactly Kitakou became "Pure" and which is which: "Pure" is supposedly the name given to the early pre-"Black Noto" era, yet when scouring through the lost/removed strips I have found…Read more >
